Frequently asked questions.

  • Short answer, no, I am not selling a fad diet. I promote healthy eating through intentional choices. Sometimes we just don’t know what choices to make when it comes to food. Sometimes we know what to do but not how to get there. I am not here to sell any types of bars, protein powders, or a one size fits all diet. Each plan is personalized to you. I charge for my time in organizing and recommending certain changes in diet and lifestyle that will help get you to your health goals.

  • I structure my consultations in five stages. This is not a quick fix. Lasting change takes time but is so worth it!

First Discovery Call- A free 15 minute get to know each other meeting that will help us determine if we’re a good fit and I can help. If we decide to move forward, I’ll send over some intake forms and waivers to fill out before the initial consultation.

Next the Initial Consult- A 60-90 minute deep dive session where I get to learn all about you- your current patterns, food preferences, medical history, struggles, and barriers. This lays the groundwork for creating a plan that will work for you.

Third, the Goal Setting Session- After really getting a good idea of where you’re at and where you want to go, we create goals using the SMART system. These goals are not just me telling you what to do. They are created with my professional recommendations and your input and willingness to make the changes. The goals are accompanied with the education needed to really understand how to implement changes and why they are important.

Fourth is the Meal Planning Session- By now you have a clear idea with a path forward. At this point, clients may need a bit more support with creating the structure of a meal plan and ideas for how to meet their needs. This session isn’t me handing you a printed out list of what to eat. This is about learning how to put a balanced menu together. I like to give examples of what that may look like, but the goal is for you to know how to do that on your own in any situation because we are as unique as what we eat. And as always, I encourage you to have fun with and enjoy food!

Lastly Follow Up appointments- These sessions are essential to keep you on track with your health journey. They encourage accountability and allow me to check in on how you are doing with your nutrition goals and answer any questions you may have. We can discuss barriers and make new goals or adjustments to existing ones if needed. Also, follow ups are a great opportunity for me to give more tips, tricks, and education, that is relevant to where you are at. I’m here to cheer you on, support you, and guide you through this process!

  • Unfortunately there’s no quick fix in diet or nutrition. Lifestyle changes that last always take time and effort to implement. My focus as a dietitian is on your long term nutritional health and relationship with food.

  • My focus is on changing eating patterns with intentional eating practices. I recommend healthy eating practices but also don’t label foods as good, bad, and off limits (with the exception of allergies and intolerances). I also promote foods that fight inflammation and encourage a healthy gut microbiome.

  • No, not at this time.
